The 1975 have “something” to release before the end of 2017
English rock band The 1975‘s long rumoured 2017 EP has been pushed back to 2018, but “something” is coming before the year is out, the manager Jamie Oborne revealed.
Oborne took to Twitter to explain “There is not going to be @the1975 EP in 2017. EP will be 2018,” and he added “But you will get something that I personally love. Sorry but that’s all I can say right now.” He went on to promise that the band’s new album “is already sounding amazing” and “will be worth the wait, you guys.”
This is something which also 1975 frontman Matty Healy is pretty sure of, as he recently revealed that the new songs he’s written for the album are ‘as good as anything on the previous album’ along with ‘lots of ambient and classical tracks’.
However, the “something” which is going to be released is not a song which anticipates the record, as Oborne confirmed to a fan on Twitter that no singles from the upcoming album will be released for the remainder of the year.
