4 Linkin Park albums return to Billboard 200 Chart

As it often happens when the greatest singers die, their music return to the charts, as fans pay tribute by purchasing their albums, or just because people become aware (too late) of how great and amazing was that star. Well, here we go again: on the new Billboard 200 albums chart dated Aug. 5, four of Linkin Park’s albums return to the ranking, after Chester Bennington’s death was announced on Thursday (July 20th).

Do you wanna know more about it? Read this: Linkin Park’s most recent project “One More Light”, re-enters at No. 17 with 23,000 equivalent album units. The band’s debut effort “Hybrid Theory” climbs back onto the tally at No. 27 with 15,000 units. Linkin Park’ second studio album “Meteora” returns to the list at No. 41 with 11,000 units and lastly “Minutes to Midnight” re-enters at No. 115 with 6,000 units earned.

Over the weekend, Linkin Park confirmed the cancellation of their North America tour following Bennington’s death. The band were due to play 27 dates across the continent from July to October in support of their recent album ‘One More Light’. In a short statement on Twitter, Live Nation wrote: “The Linkin Park One More Light North American Tour has been cancelled. Refunds available at point of purchase. Our thoughts to all affected.”
