Beck’s new song is ‘Up All Night’

Beck shared his new and incredibly catchy pop song “Up All Night” on Monday (Sept26). The track serves as soundtrack to the FIFA ’17 video game, that hits stores today (Sept.27) via EA Sports.

“Hands up in the air, like you don’t really care,” Beck sings in the swift chorus, accompanied by acoustic guitars and the frenzied yelps of an orchestra. Basically, above a series of breaks, claps and dance-style build-up sections, Beck delivers a narrative about wanting to stay up all night.

Beck’s Morning Phase follow-up was originally slated for an October 21st release but has now apparently been delayed to November. Recently, talking about the new project, the singer told Rolling Stone, “We’d go off on a Talking Heads kick, and then we’d come back six months later listening to something else. The record started to find an identity. My constant overriding thing was to find that affirming feeling – energy and joy.”
