Beyonce celebrates birthday by sharing ‘Hold Up’ video on YouTube – watch here

Beyoncé celebrated her 35th birthday Sunday (Sep04) and for this special occasion she decided to release the music video of “Hold Up” on Youtube. The song features on her ‘Lemonade’ visual album, released in April.

“Hold Up” is the second Lemonade cut to get the standalone treatment and follows “Sorry”, released in June.

“Hold Up” video begins with Beyoncé floating in a submerged room and reciting excerpts from Warsan Shire’s poetry, then Bey runs elegantly amok, wielding a baseball bat. Why? Well, the lyrics of the track – as most of the songs contained in the album – is focused on infidelity.
