Bleachers release ‘Alfie’s Song (Not So Typical Love Song)’, listen here

Bleachers have just shared their new song titled “Alfie’s Song (Not So Typical Love Song)”, taken from the soundtrack to upcoming film Love, Simon.

Jack Antonoff and co have followed up last year’s LP ‘Gone Now’ with this new love song, which fits perfectly with the coming of age love story it was crafted for. Love, Simon follows closeted teenager Simon (Nick Robinson), who falls for an anonymous classmate he meets online, and all the craziness and excitement that comes with being young and in love.

The track is the first effort from Jack Antonoff following his split from Lena Dunham. The lyrics read: “You’d leave the cities and chase bullet holes / That’s actually star light / And in those rare moments you and I were brilliant / We were gonna be alright”.

Antonoff contributed five tracks to the soundtrack of Love, Simon. Four are credited to Bleachers—”Alfie’s Song (Not So Typical Love Song)”, “Rollercoaster”, “Keeping a Secret”, and “Wild Heart”—and one is credited to his real name, a duet with MØ titled “Never Fall in Love”.
