Burt Bacharach cancels two concerts after breaking arm
Burt Bacharach has been forced to cancel two concerts in September as he recovers from a broken arm. The musician had to perform in Curacao on Sept 3rd and in Lancaster on Sept 17.
A spokeswoman for the 88-year-old music star said Tuesday that Bacharach will skip scheduled performances and plans to resume his tour in October.
The ‘Raindrops Keep Fallin’ On My Head’ singer has to make a slow recovery but we’re sure he will do his utmost to ensure that the tour is resumed. Bacharach has no intention to retire, as he recently said during an interview with The Telegraph:
“If I can move and touch people, why would I ever want to stop? If you have a gift, you keep on giving,” he smiled. “I could play tennis every day but that would be a kind of death to me. You retire; you die.”
