Cardi B: ‘Offset has chosen our baby’s name already’
During a new interview with Ellen DeGeneres on Wednesday (Apr.18), Cardi B has revealed that she has already settled on a name for her first baby and fiancée Offset made the decision.
“Yeah, my dude named the baby,” she said on the popular talk show, adding “I really like the name. I’m [going to] let him say the name because he named the baby. It’s like almost tricky but when it comes out it’s like, ‘Ohh!!’”
Then Ellen told Cardi that she’d pay her $20,000 if she called her baby Ellen, to which the rapper replied: “Can I put it in the middle name?”
The Bodak Yellow hitmaker – real name Belcalis Almanzar – began publicly dating fellow American rapper Offset, of the southern hip hop group Migos, in January 2017.
Cardi B and Offset became engaged on October 27, 2017, after Offset proposed to Cardi B at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, during the Power 99 Powerhouse concert. On April 7, 2018, Almanzar confirmed her pregnancy after months of speculation as she performed on U.S. TV show Saturday Night Live.
