Christina Aguilera to duet with Demi Lovato at Billboard Music Awards
Demi Lovato is set to perform with Christina Aguilera at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards later this month. The pop stars have recorded the song Fall in Line for Christina’s upcoming album, “Liberation”, and on Tuesday (May 8), they teased fans on social media about their special performance at the Las Vegas prestigious awards.
On Twitter, while Christina wrote “May 20th. @BBMAs. @ddlovato . #FallInLine. #xtinademi_bbmas,” Demi shared a picture and used the same hashtags to draw attention to the new collaboration.
The Tell Me You Love Me singer also hinted at the duet during a gig of her recent tour. “Christina’s my girl and big things are coming,” she told fans.
Moreover recently she told Billboard “I have always looked up to Christina. I remember being at her concert and singing facing the crowd instead of the stage, knowing that was exactly what I wanted to do in life.”
“She speaks up for what she believes in and sends a positive message, which are two things I find extremely important when given the platform we are lucky enough to have,” Demi added.
Last week Christina Aguilera dropped the first single off of her first new album in six years. It is called Accelerate and it is a laid-back R&B track that mixes her powerhouse vocals with rap verses from Ty Dolla $ign and 2 Chainz.
Fall in Line featuring Demi Lovato will be the second single off “Liberation” that will be released in June as the follow-up to 2012’s “Lotus”.
