David Foster & Katharine McPhee engaged
69-year-old Canadian songwriter David Foster asked Katharine McPhee, 34, to become his fifth wife. The question was reportedly popped a few days ago in Capri (Italy) during the couple’s vacation.
On socials, the singer revealed details about the proposal: “He did it at the top of this mountain in Anacapri. Totally dark only stars. Thankfully he didn’t push me off the cliff. He said it was one or the other. And in the end he spared me.”
Currently, McPhee and Foster are on a luxurious European vacation, which both have been sharing photos of on Instagram.
Foster has been previously married to B.J. Cook, Rebecca Dyer, Linda Thompson and Yolanda Hadid, plus he has five biological daughters and seven grandchildren (4 girls, 3 boys).
However, after the proposal, it seems that the runner-up on the fifth season of American Idol was very excited, showing off her engagement ring to passers by and immediately jumped on FaceTime to share her happy news with family and friends back in the U.S.
The musical pair first sparked romance rumors in September 2017. At the time, sources told People they were “absolutely not dating.” However, in October 2017, they were seen walking arm-in-arm in Brentwood, California.
