Dua Lipa and Ed Sheeran dominate 2018 BRIT Awards nominations
The 38th edition of the Brit Awards will be held on February 21, 2018 at the O2 Arena in London, hosted by Jack Whitehall. Yesterday (Jan. 15) the nominations were announced live on ITV at The BRITs Are Coming show and we noticed that Dua Lipa and Ed Sheeran literally dominate the scene.
Dua Lipa has five nominations for British Female, British Breakthrough, British Single (“New Rules”), British Artist Video of the Year and the prestigious Mastercard British Album of the Year for her self-titled project, which produced four Top 40 singles.
And what about Ed Sheeran? The British singer fights to win British Male Solo Artist, Mastercard British Album of the Year, British Artist Video of the Year and British Single (“Shape Of You”).
Three nominations for J Hus and Rag‘n’Bone Man, who are both in the mix for Mastercard British Album of the Year along with Stormzy, who scores two debut nominations for this and for British Male Solo Artist.
Just two nominations for Little Mix, Calvin Harris, Pharrell Williams, Katy Perry, Big Sean, Clean Bandit ft Zara Larsson, Loyle Carner, Jonas Blue ft William Singe and Liam Payne ft Quavo, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Zayn Malik.
