JT postpones concert due to bruised vocal cords and some fans call him ‘unprofessional’
Justin Timberlake was forced to reschedule a show in New York on Wednesday (Oct. 24) due to severely bruised vocal cords. The Say Something hitmaker took to socials to share the news, to apologize and to reassure fans that he has already set a new date at Madison Square Garden on January 31, 2019.
“Hey guys I’m sorry to announce I have to postpone the show at MSG tonight on doctor’s order, my vocal chords are severely bruised” Timberlake wrote, adding “I’m gonna make this up to you and the new show will be on my birthday, January 31.”
“More info to come. Again I’m so sorry to do this, but excited to see you soon. Love, J” he concluded.
Needless to say that most of his followers reacted well to the news, wishing Justin a speed recovery and assuring they’re not mad at him. Just a few commented saying the singer was ‘unprofessional’ to give the news on short notice.
Timberlake has been busy travelling around the U.S. as part of the Man of the Woods Tour but his health declined after he took the stage for a performance at the Manhattan venue on Monday (Oct. 22). The star’s next concert date is scheduled for October 28 in Buffalo, New York.
This is the second Madison Square Garden date the SexyBack hitmaker has had to cancel this year. As you surely remember, in March the singer had to pull out of a show scheduled at the arena due to bad weather.
