Katy Perry helps deliver sister’s second child
Katy Perry can add “expert midwife” to her long list of skills. Yes, because on Monday the singer assisted a birth for a second time, helping her sister Angela deliver her newborn.
“Helped deliver my sister’s baby at 2pm & am in the studio by 8pm. GET A GIRL THAT CAN DO BOTH” Katy tweeted.
As underlined above, this isn’t the first time Katy has helped with Angela’s labour. It already happened in 2014, when Katy assisted her sister through the process during the home birth of her first child.
During a radio interview, Katy revealed: “My sister gave birth in her living room and I got to be kind of like an assistant doula, which, in a home birth, is kind of just there for support,” Katy said. “I was in it! I mean I was holding… I probably shouldn’t give too many details, but my sister actually is a true rock star. She gave birth in her living room without a single painkiller.”
