Kendrick Lamar denies banning mobile phones from his gigs
Through a statement released by his representatives to Pitchfork, Kendrick Lamar said that all the rumours claiming he doesn’t allow fans to bring mobile phones to his gigs are not true at all.
The rapper recently made the decision to deny professional photographers access to the photo pit during his European tour and opted to keep the shows exclusive to his personal photographers.
It was this new policy that led many to believe that the Grammy award winner was in addition banning his fans from documenting his concerts on their mobile phones, which Kendrick has now confirmed is not the case.
Fans will therefore still be able to use their phones freely to capture moments from Lamar’s remaining tour dates.
Lamar’s decision follows similar moves by the likes of The Killers and Beyoncé, who only allow live access to their own photography team.
