Kodak Black to leave jail in September
As you surely remember, Kodak Black was arrested on January 18 on gun and drug charges besides child neglect after his home was reportedly raided by police. Now it turns out that the American rapper will remain in a Florida jail until September.
Black – real name Dieuson Octave – faced seven felony charges including child neglect, grand theft of a firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and marijuana possession. On February 22, three charges against him were dropped and he pleaded not guilty to the remaining two.
The 20-year-old rapper’s attorney, Bradford Cohen, told the Sun Sentinel that Black reached a deal with Broward County prosecutors Tuesday (Apr. 17).
Octave’s projected release date is September 17. As part of his deal, the rapper will no longer be on house arrest or probation after he leaves jail.
