Lorde’s sister publishes a book
Lorde’s 19-year-old sister India Yelich-O’Connor put out her first book of poetry, Sticky Notes. So the singer is definitely not the only talent in her family, since we can find both her mother and her sister on the bookshelves.
‘Sticky Notes’ is the first book of poetry by emerging poet Indy Yelich, who was born to a poet mother and is the sister of pop artist, Lorde.
On Tuesday (Feb. 27), Lorde let the world know that “sis put a little book out,” linking to India’s debut 144-page book. It dropped on Saturday (Feb. 24) and is about the writer’s experiences with love, travel, and self-discovery in a shifting physical and emotional geography.
It follows India’s journey from New Zealand to L.A. to New York and the metamorphosis she’s gone through to figure out who she is separate from her award-winning sister. India Yelich-O’Connor currently lives independently in New York City.
