Louis Tomlinson teases new single ‘Just Like You’
A few hours ago Louis Tomlinson told his followers on Twitter that soon a new song titled “Just Like You” will be released.
Former One Direction member kicked off his solo career last year with the Steve Aoki collaboration “Just Hold On.” Since then, he’s released another single titled “Back to You” featuring Bebe Rexha and Digital Farm Animals.
“So I wrote a song called ‘Just Like You’ a few months ago,” Tomlinson tweeted. “After a few conversations with the label I told them that I wanted to release it.”
In a series of tweets, Tomlinson gave other details of the project, saying “My next single will be a bit later this year but I wanted to share this with you now. This is for you lot ! #JustLikeYou The song will go live on the usual platforms at midnight local time. NZ and Aus be ready. #JustLikeYou.”
“Just Like You” came up during a BBC interview this year when the singer said it explores “this view of celebrities that we’re impenetrable and almost not human, but fundamentally we all have the same problems.” It delves into heartbreak, loss and more struggles he’s faced in the public eye.
Moreover, Tomlinson shared the artwork of the song, which features himself holding a billiards cue while eyeing his next shot. He also confessed this song is one of his favourites from the album and added “Conceptually I think it’s sums me up!“.
