Miley Cyrus honored Elton John in skimpy hot pants
On Tuesday night (Jan.30), just two days after the 60th Annual GRAMMY Awards, the Recording Academy and CBS have celebrated the legendary career of five-time GRAMMY winner Elton John by presenting “Elton John: I’m Still Standing-A GRAMMY Salute.”
The live concert taping has been held at The Theater At Madison Square Garden in New York. To pay tribute to the Your Song hitmaker, got up on stage artists such as Kesha, John Legend, Chris Martin, Sam Smith, Keith Urban and… Miley Cyrus.
This last one posted a series of pics on Instagram showing off her glittery homage to John’s legendarily outrageous stagewear, which in Miley’s case consisted of a long-sleeved silver shirt with plunging neckline and matching high-waisted shorts and knee-high boots.
The snaps were captioned “Backstage “I’m Still Standing” @eltonjohn tribute! #BitchIsBack.”
Two days before, Cyrus and John performed together at the 2018 Grammy Awards, singing his classic hit “Tiny Dancer.” The Malibu singer hit the stage to celebrate Sir Elton John and his writing partner Bernie Taupin, who are both receiving the Recording Academy President’s Merit Award.
