Morrissey cancels gig at the last minute because he is cold
At present Morrissey is touring in support of his upcoming album “Low in High School,” due out Nov. 17. On Sunday night (Nov. 5), just the fourth night of the American tour, he was set to play at Vina Robles Amphitheatre in Paso Robles, California, but he never made it to the stage and now we tell you why.
It was a chilly night, with temperatures in the 40s, and it seems that the venue’s onstage heating system wasn’t working. After the show was scheduled to start, someone announced over the PA that “due to an inoperable heating system on stage,” the show was postponed.
Needless to say that this decision enraged the crowd: the amphitheater was full of upset, sad, disappointed and angry people who had waited for Morrissey almost an hour.
In a news release, Nederlander Concerts said that a new date will be rescheduled for the 2018 season and that refunds are available at the point of purchase.
