One Direction: reunion tour date appears on Ticketmaster
A date for a possible One Direction’s comeback tour appeared on a ticket website over the weekend and – needless to say – fans have gone wild with excitement.
It all began when a fan took to Twitter to reveal that she was scrolling through the Australian version of Ticketmaster and found a listing for One Direction: On the Road Again Tour at the Etihad Stadium in Melbourne on December 31, 2020.
If so, it means that the band – who went on hiatus in January 2016, allowing all members to pursue other projects – are finally getting back together.
However, let’s not celebrate too early, you guys. The cover image of the Ticketmaster website also featured One Direction, while the concert listing also appeared on Spotify under One Direction’s Upcoming Shows tab, but they were all quickly removed.
On the other hand, to support the reunion option, we have to say that on Monday (July 23) the official One Direction Twitter account became active for the first time in 2018 to mark the eighth anniversary of the group’s formation, on the 2010 series of Britain’s The X Factor.
Although the news is yet to be confirmed and the presumably mistakenly-leaked listing was promptly taken down from both the site and the band’s Spotify page, that hasn’t stopped fans taking to Twitter to share their excitement as they recall Liam once mentioning he would bet all his money that One Direction would be back together by 2020.
