Paloma Faith says goodbye to The Voice: she is pregnant with her first child
Paloma Faith has 3 important news for us: firstly, she has announced she is expecting her first baby with her long-term French artist boyfriend Leyman Lahcine; secondly she is going to go out of the spotlight and finally she revealed that her next album is ready but not to be released in 2016.
The 35-year-old singer shared the happy news on her Twitter account, posting a photo of a handwritten note in which she also said she would be taking time away from the music industry and talent show The Voice as she focuses on motherhood.
“I am so delighted to tell you I am going to take a short while off to have a baby,” she said “I spent my whole life wanting to be a mother and now the time has come for me to do so. I feel so lucky.”
However pregnancy is not all sunshine and roses and she admits to be nervous about becoming a mum: “Pregnancy and motherhood is a very personal thing, daunting, new and worrying at times and I don’t want to have to add to it by worrying about having to ‘look’ a certain way when pregnant,” she continued, promising to return to the spotlight ‘full of energy’”.
Faith also revealed her fourth album – which won’t drop this year and who knows when – will be titled ‘The Architect’, which is probably inspired by her impending parenthood.
