Racism, Kelly Rowland worries about raising her son in America
Speaking to Schön! Magazine, Kelly Rowland confessed her worries about raising her two-year-old son Titan Jewell boy in a society like America’s, where she says they have to “think about if someone is going to hurt them”.
The singer said she is constantly “nervous” about the American situation since racism is unfortunately occurring increasingly. For this reason, she claimed she wants to raise him in a certain way so he will never be a position which could get him hurt or killed on the streets due to the colour of his skin.
In the same interview, Kelly Rowland has rallied support for minority artists, saying she is “proud” of people exercising their rights but there is still a long way to go. The singer added she is convinced every “minority mother” has to ensure they raise their boys to be respectful to others so they don’t end up in trouble.
