Rolling Stones hint new album coming out on 6 October
The Rolling Stones have posted a cryptic video teasing the possible new blues album as early as tomorrow (Oct.06). The 10-second clip is titled ‘The Rolling Stones – Coming October 6’ and it offers quick glimpses of the band members working in the studio.
The Stones are prepping their first studio album since 2005’s ‘A Bigger Bang’. The band did not offer further details on the project but their produer Don Was said they had cut an album of takes on Chicago blues songs.
Le Figaro reports that “The album consists of covers of blues songs of Chicago. It was recorded live in the studio in just three days, with the musicians in a circle around the microphones. There was no retouching on the pieces. The record sounds very crude, very authentic. It captures the essence of what they are.”
