Ronan Keating’s daughter injured in riding accident
Ronan Keating’s 12-year-old daughter Ali was seriously injured while riding her beloved horse Red in competition. The girl, born in September 2005, suffered multiple broken bones in the fall from her horse.
It was her mother Yvonne Connolly, Ronan’s former wife, who revealed the injury on Instagram after posting a picture of Ali recovering in hospital late last week.
“Last weekend Ali had her first show on her new pony, Red,” Connolly wrote, adding “After a cruel turn of events Ali ended up in hospital on Tuesday after a fall from him (Not his fault).”
The little red-haired girl also needed surgery to reset her broken bones after the accident. In addition to this, Ali was heartbroken from having to take time out from riding.
“Just home today. She’s now out of the saddle for 8-10 weeks and missing lots of competitions we had coming up. To say she is devastated is an understatement,” her mother revealed.
Yvonne accompanied her message with a series of photographs of Ali, including one of her on her horse, and another of her lying in hospital, sporting a pink plaster cast on her arm while wearing a pair of sunglasses.
