Sir Ken Dodd dies aged 90
Legendary British comedian, singer-songwriter and actor Sir Ken Dodd, identified by his unruly hair and protruding teeth, has died aged 90.
The artist died peacefully late on Sunday (Mar. 11) in the house where he was born and spent his entire life, in the Liverpool suburb of Knotty Ash.
The entertainer died just two days after marrying his long-term partner Anne Jones, who was right at his bedside when he passed away.
Dodd’s death comes after he spent six weeks in hospital earlier this year, being treated for a chest infection. He was allowed home nearly two weeks ago.
Doddy’s agent, Robert Holmes, broke the sad news of his death in a phone call to the ECHO at 1.20am, shortly after receiving a call from the artist’s widow.
