    Pete Shelley, the lead singer of the punk band Buzzcocks, has died of a suspected heart attack aged 63. The band have tweeted saying Shelley was "one of the UK's most influential and prolific songwriters" and that "his music inspired generations of musicians."
  • Oscar-winning Italian director of ‘The Last Emperor’ dies at 77

    Italian director and screenwriter Bernardo Bertolucci - famous for his masterpieces The Last Emperor & Last Tango in Paris - has died in Rome aged 77 following a short battle with lung cancer. The Oscar-winning Maestro was also honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame in 2009.
  • LFO singer Devin Lima dies at 41

    LFO singer Devin Lima died at age 41 on Wed (Nov. 21) following a yearlong battle with stage 4 adrenal cancer. The singer underwent chemotherapy and radiation following his diagnosis but he lost his battle with cancer. Tragedy has struck the group before. In 2010, LFO singer Rich Cronin died of leukemia aged 35.
  • The ‘King of Bolero’ Lucho Gatica dies

    The legendary singer of bolero Lucho Gatica, who was born in Chile and lived in Mexico for half a century, died on Tuesday, the artist's family said. He was 90. Not announced as yet is what caused the death of this famous singer with a career spanning more than 70 years.
  • Rapper Nick Breed dead at 24

    Baltimore rapper Nick Breed has died aged 24. The artist was shot in his hometown's Allendale neighborhood on Sunday. He was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center and pronounced dead soon thereafter. The rapper's most-recent release was a remix of Ella Mai's "Boo'd Up."
  • Canadian rapper Jon James McMurray tragically dies during stunt

    Jon James McMurray was killed during a music video shoot when a stunt atop an airplane wing went wrong. The rapper was walking on the wing of a Cessna as it was in flight but he fell without having the time to pull his parachute. He impacted and died instantly.
  • Ayub Bachchu dies aged 56

    Legendary Bangladeshi singer, guitarist, songwriter and LRB founding member Ayub Bachchu has died in Dhaka. He was only 56. The singer suffered heart failure at his home around 8:30am, and left for Square Hospital with his driver by car. He died on his way to the hospital.

    “Nuestra Belleza Latina” contestant Gretchen G died at age 28. The Venezuelan singer suffered from a disease that she battled for years. Next Saturday (Oct. 20) a mass will be celebrated in her memory. Her best known songs are “Tu princesa, ” "Te Amare Por Siempre," and “La salida.”
  • Korn singer Jonathan Davis’ wife, 39, died of an overdose

    The wife of Korn singer Jonathan Davis died from an accidental drug overdose. Deven Davis died in Aug at the age of 39, on the same day that the singer had sought a restraining order against her. An autopsy now reveals that she had a combination of five different drugs in her system after her death.
