  • Israel’s Netta wins Eurovision Song Contest

    On Saturday (May 12) Israel has won the Eurovision song contest with Netta’s catchy pop song "Toy", marking Israel's fourth win in the Eurovision Song contest (after 1978, 1979, and 1998). Netta had been written off with Cyprus, France, Ireland and Italy thought to be the more credible acts.

    Salvador Sobral, winner of the last Eurovision Song Contest, was hospitalized in serious condition in Lisbon and is waiting for a heart transplant by a compatible donor. The 27-year-old portuguese singer gave his last concert on Sept. 8th in Estoril.
