Taylor Lautner confirms Taylor Swift’s ‘Back To December’ is about him
As many of you know, Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner had a love affair long time ago. The actor became her boyfriend after they met on set for the film Valentine’s Day but they broke up in early 2010.
Recently, Taylor Lautner revealed – during a Scream Queens Facebook Live video – that Taylor Swift’s “Back To December” was written about their relationship.
The song is a sort of apology to him. Some of the lyrics go ” Your guard is up and I know why. Because the last time you saw me is still burned in the back of your mind …you gave me roses and I left them there to die. So this is me swallowing my pride, standing in front of you saying I’m sorry for that night. And I go back to December all the time. You gave me all your love and all I gave you was goodbye.”
At the end of the song she asks for his forgiveness and hints to the fact she wants to be with him again. But the two have apparently decided to just be friends.
During the video, interviewed by Lea Michele, Lautner confirmed the single was about him: “That’s what she does. She writes songs,” said Lautner.
