Taylor Swift’s Wikipedia Page Vandalised
Taylor Swift’s Wikipedia Page changed after Kim Kardashian released a snapchat video in which there was a conversation between his husband Kanye West and Taylor Swift about the controversial song ‘Famous’.
Taylor had claimed that she never okayed the full lyrics (“I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/ Why? I made that bitch famous”) while the phonecall seems to suggest she at least gave the first line her blessing.
Anyone checking out Swift’s Wikipedia page this week may have noticed some unusual additions: well just know it is just because it was vandalised: in the birth name section, the “Shake It Off” singer’s name was changed to “Taylor ‘Slithering Snake Becky With the Good Lies’ Alison Swift,” a nod to Beyoncé calling her lover’s mistress “Becky With the Good Hair” on her album Lemonade. Moreover, the hackers added Mean Girls’ “Regina George” and “victim” to her list of nicknames and “liar” to her occupations. As for the opening blurb on Taylor’s page, that too was briefly changed to state that she “got dragged to the grave by successful businesswoman Kim Kardashian”.
This isn’t the first time trolls have targeted Taylor this week: after the drama began to unfold, a mural was erected in her “memory”, featuring a picture of her face as well as the dates of her birth — 1989, of course — and 2016, the head Kim Kardashian allegedly “exposed” her.
Once Wikipedia’s editors noticed the oddity, they cleared up the page and removed the edits. Anyway don’t worry! You can see how the page looked like in the screenshot below.
