Tina Turner’s son dies in apparent suicide
Tina Turner’s eldest son, Craig Raymond Turner, has died in an apparent suicide aged 59. Police found him dead at 12:38 p.m. on Tuesday (July 3rd) inside his Studio City, Calif. home, with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Authorities pronounced him dead at the scene.
The Simply the Best singer was just 18 years of age when she gave birth after falling pregnant with Raymond Hill, a saxophonist for the Kings of Rhythm band. Craig was born in 1959 and the singer’s first husband, Ike Turner, later on adopted Craig.
Before his death, Craig worked as a real estate agent in the San Fernando Valley. According to his Rodeo Realty profile, Craig was a member of elite realtor organization the National Association of Realtors and the California Association of Realtors.
Hours before his death, Tina was spotted at the Giorgio Armani show at the Haute Couture Fashion Week in Paris. Craig is survived by his father, his mother, and his biological half-brother, Ronnie.
