The Voice recap (Dec. 18)
Season 13 of The Voice is coming to an end: on Monday night (Dec. 18) the four finalists sang three songs each in part one of The Voice’s live finale. Part two will be tonight, (Dec. 19) when we’ll discover the final results.
In addition to a new cover, the artists each debuted original singles and performed in a duet with their famous coaches: Blake Shelton had two artists in the finale, while Jennifer Hudson’s team was shut out. Adam Levine and Miley Cyrus each had one artist competing.
Team Adam’s Addison Agen sang “Humble And Kind” (cover), “Falling Slowly” (Duet With Coach) and then debuted her single, “Tennessee Rain,” a delicate but layered song that earned praise from Hudson.
Team Blake’s Chloe Kohanski followed with her original song “Wish I Didn’t Love You.”, then sang “You Got It” (Duet With Coach) and finally, for the last performance of the night, Kohanski sang “Bette Davis Eyes” (Cover).
Team Blake’s Red Marlow took the stage with his guitar for a duet of “I’m Gonna Miss Her”, then returned with his original, straightforward single “I Pray.” Marlow added a country twist to “Make You Feel My Love” for his last performance of the finale (cover).
Team Miley’s Brooke Simpson debuted her original single “What Is Beautiful,” which Cyrus co-wrote with two other female songwriters. Then she performed with her coach in Cyrus’ hit single “Wrecking Ball,” and for her last performance, Simpson channeled holiday spirit and sang “O Holy Night” with a killer arrangement by Cyrus.
